The first Focus was introduced in the year 1998 in Europe. But in the US, it takes 1 year to reach. Finally, the sale of the first edition starts in the year 1999 in the US. As the sale started, it became famous among youngsters because it was inexpensive, easy to operate, and it was quite powerful but not too much. It was a hatchback edition. This edition sold till the year 2004.
The second edition was introduced in the year 2004 in Paris Autoshow. It was a sedan in body style. It was released with improving quality and performance. In the year 2004, second-generation Ford Focus finally introduced and it was sold till the year 2008.
Ford Focus has a great history in World Rally Championship (WRC). The first one came in 1998 in World Rally Championship which was turbocharged, provides 300HP, and All-wheel drive. After introducing in Rally, till now many racers used to race with Focus in WRC or other racing championships.
Then Ford Focus ST released in the year 2009. It was powerful and ready to race. It was powered by 2.5lt Ecoboost engine with 222hp and 320Nm torque with a 6-speed gearbox which provides a top speed of 244kmph or we can say 150mph. This car can accelerate 0-100kmph (0-60mph) in 6.2 seconds and touch 0-200kmph in 28 seconds. This car became a love of rally car drivers. They Tune this car into rally car( Ken Block also have a Ford Focus & the image of a racecar is Ken Block's Ford Focus). This car’s engine can be tuned to 500HP (app.).
Finally, Ford Focus ST 2020. It was released on 1st September 2019 but it is named Focus ST 2020. It is a new hot, stylish and sporty hatchback. This car came with two engine variations, one is 2.3lt inline 4 with 280HP and the second one is 2.0lt inline 4 with 190HP. Both variations of cars are turbocharged and Ecoboost. Both variations came with a 6-speed sequential gearbox with quick shifters and 7-speed automatic transmission. 2.3lt engine provides 420Nm torque and accelerates 0-100kmph in 6 seconds. 2.3lt engine variation Focus can touch up to a speed of 137Mph or 220kmph.
